Locker Room Report: Wolfpack Players

RALEIGH, N.C. -- Several NC State players met with the media following the 26-14 loss to Clemson.

Dontae Johnson

"We really just prepared."

"We know they thrive off of explosive plays and we focused on trying to limit those explosive plays and make them go the distance."

"Just read our keys and focus on the things we need to focus on."

Rashard Smith

"We just had to keep on moving... it's a bad call, but obviously he probably feels bad about it. Coach said he didn't step out of bounds."

"It took the momentum out of us, but we had to keep fighting."

"I'm looking forward to Shad getting back in the lineup. He's doing the right things to get into the lineup."

"We stuck to our gameplan. We didn't change what we were doing, we just executed in the last two minutes."

Joe Thuney

"I think I started on the weekend, I think Saturday. I think that was my first day of practice [at left tackle]."

"That was a big adjustment too."

"I was really happy with how well we competed, especially in the fourth quarter... we just kept fighting."

Mike Rose

"People don't understand how loud it truly gets on the field."

"You have to slow down Tajh Boyd. He's the key part to their offense."

"You have to slow down No. 10."

"It's good in a sense, but we always want to win the game."

Bryan Underwood

"I feel like this game helped us see who we are."

"Even when things were going bad we just kept fighting."

"We learned that we're a really tough team."

Pete Thomas

"We went out there and executed."

"Great atmosphere, couldn't be better. It's one of the biggest stages in college football."

"I wish I could have played better."

"I think we have some of the best fans in college football."

"I just can't thank them enough."

"That was a big change of momentum, but we have to overcome that."
