Locker Room Report: NC State

RALEIGH, N.C. -- Several NC State players met with the media following the 48-14 win over Central Michigan.

Shadrach Thornton

"Very similar, not necessarily the exact same play. It was a cut play, a zone play."

"Anytime as a running back you get that hole you have to take advantage of that opportunity."

"It's a blessing, it really is. When you're in Little League or Pop Warner you say I want to do that one day."

"We're going to prepare hard for the next team like we do always."

Rashard Smith

"I just wanted to go out there and make a play for our team."

"Those guys did a great job blocking."

"That was one of our keys to victory, to have more explosive plays."

Robert Caldwell

"Any linebacker, that's the go-to offense you want to play against."

"The team came out and played hard, as a defense we played hard as a unit."

"It's real big. We always talk about special teams being a big part of the game."

D.J. Green

"Pro style... I'm accustomed to reading and playing with my eyes."

"I trusted my eyes."

"Going into this week of practice, that's what we wanted, turnovers."

"It's big because that's hidden yardage and momentum."

Pete Thomas

"We still had too many penalties."

"It should have been a lot more passing, but we want to be a balanced offense."

"Coach put a great gameplan together to get our playmakers the ball."
