Locker Room Report: Dave Doeren

RALEIGH, N.C. -- NC State head coach Dave Doeren met with the media following the 48-14 win over Central Michigan.

Dave Doeren Press Conference

"Happy to be 3-1. A really good defensive effort in the first half, and in the second quarter, fantastic by our offense."

"It got sloppy in the second half, which was unfortunate, and something we have to address."

"The coaches had a good gameplan... especially early."

"We could finally throw a touchdown today, which I know Pete is excited about."

"There were some good things. Defensively, anytime you can hold a team to under 300 yards in today's offensive world.."

"We have to get ready now for our first road game this week."

"It was a matter of time. We had a couple of interceptions called back. These things happen in bunches. It was great D.J. started us off with the pick-six."

"When we started the game out with the jets working you could see their adjustments where they were pulling people out of the box to defend it."

"We're just a couple strains away from popping some of these plays."

"I thought the receiver screen game helped us on the outside too."

"Matt just sprained his ankle. I haven't talked to the docs, but they didn't think it was serious."

"It was a slant, he just read it. We knew zone coverage for their quarterback he had struggled in recent weeks."
