NC State appears set to take another linebacker in the class of 2014 and has shown some interest in Florida standout Kris Harris.
That's one reason Harris decided to take a visit to the school over
He didn't even announce he was coming. In that sense Harris did
things a little differently than most recruits, but it's clear he
put some planning into it.
"I wanted to take an unofficial without really declaring where I was
going. I wanted to pop up there to see how they are in action and

His interest level is higher than it was before he visited.
"It's way, way higher. I can say it's getting close to crunch time

this soon and they were very impressive."
The Tallahassee Godby linebacker said it was the total package that
the school has to offer that really impressed him. From the football
program to the school itself and all of the people that make NC
State what it is Harris could see himself there for the next four or
"I was blown away by the facilities. I loved the coaches and the
relationship they have with their players and also by the whole
relationship the university has with the football team. They have
great academic programs. It seems like the players have no reason to
fail with all the academic support staff they have.
"This weekend was probably the best conversation I've had with Coach
(Frisman) Jackson. He seems to be an honorable man and a family man.
He tells me he'll treat me no different than he treats his kids and
that was the impression he gave me. I respect him very much."
