Lukayus McNeil has visited several schools during the football season and NC State is one of them.
It's clear that McNeil is much more focused on his senior season
than recruiting. However, he's found time to work in several visits.
In addition to his lone official visit to NC State, he's also made
trips over the last several months to a host of college programs.
"I've been to Louisville, Kentucky, Michigan State, Cincinnati and
Purdue," McNeil said.
Those were all unofficial trips and McNeil said in very short
summary that they "all were good" and each of those schools remains
He spent more time at NC State and was able to see more because of
the nature of that trip. But he didn't speak at length about that
trip either only confirming that it was productive.
"I loved it. It wasn't really anything in particular. I just loved
all of it," he said.
NC State can sell early playing time given the offensive line's
struggles this year and that is something that may appeal to the
6-7, 270-pound tackle from Decatur Central in Indianapolis (IN).
But while McNeil loved that trip he seems intent on taking others.
"I will be taking my other officials. I don't know when. I don't
know where. I'm just focused on my season for now," he said.
McNeil is rated a three-star prospect and the No. 56 offensive
tackle in the nation by Scout.com.
