USF linebacker commitment Jimmy Bayes has been a soft verbal for months. Is he still thinking about visiting other schools?
The short answer is yes but the extended answer is a little more
complicated. Bayes isn't sure about all of the visits he will
probably take although he does know one. It also seems like he is
much more focused on his senior year than recruiting which is
"I still plan on visiting NC State. I talk to them every week. I'm
still talking to Coach Huxtable," he said.
Bayes has followed NC State when he has been able to this year and
the new coaching staff has made it an appealing choice even though
he originally committed to South Florida.
"I like their scheme and I like the way they're really big on me.
They want their linebackers to be athletic so I would be a good fit
for that. They have great facilities and I think it would be a great
place to go to school at," he said.
NC State is the only visit Bayes said he is mostly sure he wants to
take. He did say that Louisville and even Southern Cal are among the
other schools that have been recruiting him.
"I don't know right now, I'm just trying to finish my season and we
want to go to back to the state championship game."
The Pack would like to take one more linebacker in the class of
2013. Bayes is rated a three-star prospect and the No. 80 outside
linebacker in the nation by Scout.com.
