"It came down to mistakes for us - we made too many. Throwing the ball to them in the second half, forcing some passes."

"There's just not much margin for error when you play like that on offense. We have to do a better job."

"I'm going to be the same guy tomorrow. I'm going to come in and keep working."

"I'm going to remember what they did on the 50-yard line for the next 364 days. I'm going to look forward to playing them next year. That's all I can do."

"We're going to keep recruiting."

"We did take a step forward in a lot of ways in this game, with the way we started and the way we were playing on defense."

"It's disappointing - anytime you lose a rivalry game its going to sting, its going to hurt and there's no excuses for it."

"He's forcing balls into coverage. I told him he couldn't throw - if its not there throw it away and he didn't so I took him out."

"It hurt. I think [the targeting] rule is a bad rule. I think ti's been expressed by a lot of coaches. It's not evenly officiated. It's a judgement call."

"Especially when they didn't reciprocate with a hit on our quarterback that they didn't call, and the next hit was clearly a helmet-to-helmet hit that the overrule. I just don't get it."

"I don't think it's fair for the officials. I think it's something that needs to be changed at the end of the season. It's going to hurt any team when you lose a starter on a judgement call."

"The environment that our fans created, our student section, our band - I say thank you to them and stay with us. We're going to keep fighting."

"[The fake punt] - that's on me. I thought we had it and it didn't work... so that's on me. They are a big hold-up team. They turn their eyes to their guys and we thought we could get around the edge."

"Well if you didn't see it, you didn't see it. What happened at the middle of the field was their guys came out and started jumping on our logo. Is that clear enough?"

"We'll talk about [the quarterback position] with our staff. I'm emotional right now. Probably not gonna say exactly how I feel."

"When you invest a lot and you get nothing back, you have to keep investing. That's the hardest part."

"If we just quit throwing the ball into coverage we'll be in games. We've thrown way too many interceptions this year."

"I feel we have to control our tempers better as far as reacting to things like that and try to be the better man."

"Definitely it crossed the line, but it just goes to show that's a reflection of their coaches. Point blank, period."

"Most definitely, that's inexcusable. That's Terrell Owens in the middle of Cowboys Stadium doing his thing."

"That's definitely something we'll remember."

"It wasn't the playcall. It's execution... we have to practice how we play."
