Scout's Take: The more you see of Cook, the more you like him. He has that old-school personality where he loves to mix it up, play hard, and play physical. He may not be a 4.6 second kid in the 40 yard dash, but he knows how to get open, give his quarterback a big target to throw to, and how to use his frame to keep defenders on his back.
He has very long arms, he is an outstanding inline blocker, and he has soft hands. He is a strong player on the line of scrimmage and he can flex out to be a weapon in the red zone.
Do not look for him to run past those fast and athletic linebackers 40 yards down field, but he will surprise some with his big-play ability. He knows how to play the game, he has strong at the point of attack, and he takes coaching very well.
He is not used much as a receiver in the offense he plays in, so not many know just how good he is in that area.
Cook will go to Raleigh ready to work and pushing for early playing time. He just has 'it' and he plays with a little attitude, he is eager to help his team in any way, and Cook is going to surprise some on the next level.
