Locker Room Report: Dave Doeren

DURHAM, NC -- NC State head coach Dave Doeren addressed the media following the Pack's loss to Duke on Saturday evening.

"Obviously Duke beat us in the 4th quarter today. The turnovers for touchdowns were killers. There were 21 points on the board our defense was not responsible for."

"We made a lot of plays tonight against a good football team but we didn't finish the game. That's the most disappointing thing."

"We lost a tough game a week ago to a rival and came back and fought and prepared the right way. It hurts to lose."

"There's zero quit."

"I am proud of what our seniors did this week from a leadership standpoint and then the way the seniors played during the game."

"We are going to continue to work and build this football program the right way."

"I will not make excuses and neither will these guys. The sting of losing is there but I also see improvement in our program."

"Offensively we are fighting and scratching, we're running the ball and we are moving the ball down the field. We just aren't throwing the ball well enough, consistently, and that hurts you."

"I wasn't yelling at the guys - I'm not a negative guy. I told them that our seniors are doing everything they can and we need to win these next three games for them."
