Signing Period Begins Today

November 13th is the first day college basketball recruits can sign their national letters of intent, and NC State is looking to officially ink one of the nation's top classes.

NC State Class of 2014 verbal commitments Abdul-Malik Abu, Caleb Martin, and Cody Martin can make their pledges official today on the first day of the fall signing period, and all three are expected to fax in their paperwork to the Wolfpack.

Abu, a senior at Meriden (NH) Kimball Union Academy, is rated the No. 52 player overall in the 2012 class. The four-star recruit is regarded as the No. 12 power forward in the country. Abu committed to NC State in September after also considering UCONN, Florida, and Providence among others.

Caleb Martin is suiting up as a senior for Oak Hill Academy (VA), where he is joined by his brother, Cody. The nation's No. 13 small forward prospect, Caleb is also a four-star recruit and the No. 46 player in his class. Cody is regarded as the No. 26 small froward, and the duo picked the Wolfpack in October of 2012 after also considering early offers from Wake Forest and Virginia Tech.

Abdul-Malik and Caleb are included in's Top 100 rankings, and the three-man haul is ranked No. 15 nationally by

All three players are projected to qualify and are expected to contribute as freshmen.

Finally, once all of the commitments become official and the paperwork has been received by NC State, the Wolfpack coaching staff is expected to send out a release to formally announce the latest additions.
