"That was a grinder in my opinion. We just never seemed to get into a real good flow offensively, but we did what we needed to do to win."

"Regardless of their record currently, I think Long Beach, once they get into their league, they are going to be a pretty good basketball team... a very talented team."

"We looked at the zone defense all night long and I thought we did a better job in the second half of finding the gaps."

"They cut it to two and Cat had some great plays during the stretch, kind of ignited a run for us."

"It was a great run for us."

"I think what kept Cat in the game more than anything was his defense on Caffey... in the halfcourt sets I thought Cat did a great job of defending him."

"He's learning what we're trying to do much better."

"What Kyle did for us tonight is he got some key rebounds."

"He does give us energy coming off the bench, he has a lot of enthusiasm. That's important."

"Jordan did a nice job of showing hard on some ball screens... we didn't do a good enough job helping Jordan sometimes."

"He had two or three in the first half because we were playing catch-up."

"[Jennings] is a good player. He signed with West Virginia out of high school. He's a talented guy."

"I do think the gap between what we think is the BCS schools, power-conference schools... the gap is not as big as it once was."

"You'll find that a lot of times schools from the non-BCS teams have some pretty talented players. The margin is not nearly what it was maybe 10 years or so ago."
