The 6-foot-3, 205-pounder is working at free safety for the South Carolina squad. He played safety and quarterback as a senior.
"It's similar to what I played in high school," said Walker. "I switch up sometimes depending on who is in, but it's pretty much the same... safety.
"This week is going pretty well. There's a lot of new faces, but we're all bonding. We're starting to get used to each other out here, and we're trying to have fun. We want to get the win."
A long, rangy prospect, Walker, who holds several DIAA offers, says that he is currently focused on three programs.
"Recruiting, it's Indiana, North Carolina State, and App. State," he stated. "I'll be visiting Indiana and North Carolina State in January. In a way they've talked about offers, but they've mainly talked about the visits."
Walker is being recruited by NC State tailbacks coach Des Kitchings.
"I like coach Kitchings a lot," he said. He's a real cool guy. He's telling me about the school. I really don't know much about the school, right now. I follow them a little bit but not a lot."
Walker, who maintains that he is wide open, plays on majoring in Business Management.
"I'll be looking for the best fit, academically and athletically. We'll see what happens when I go [on my visits] in January."
