Lauderdale Lakes (FL) Boyd Andesron cornerback Derrick Tindal will take three official visits later this month and the last will be to NC State. That gives Dave Doeren the luxury of making the last pitch before signing day comes and goes.
Tindal will be in Raleigh on Jan. 31 which is the last weekend prospects will be able to take official visits unless they allow their recruitment to drag on after signing day. It will be the first trip he's ever taken to Raleigh and he doesn't know what to expect going into it.
He does know what he will be looking to learn.
"Just thinking about going in there I want to check the place out. I want go to around and see what it's like because I've got a lot of family there. I like the idea of it because I wouldn't be far away from family. They've got a lot of DB's that have gone to the NFL and that's something else I like."
Tindal said he has never even been to the state of North Carolina so the trip will be a new experience.
Richard McNutt has been telling Tindal a little about what the coaching staff is trying to accomplish but more than anything he has told him that he's the kind of player the coaches are looking for.
"I'm an aggressive corner and they like somebody who can tackle. I can do that."
Tindal will visit Syracuse and South Carolina in the two weeks leading up to his trip to NC State.
He is rated a three-star prospect and the No. 115 cornerback in the nation by Scout.com.
