Parks Still Planning to Visit NC State

Pack Pride has the latest on athlete Tez Parks and his plans to visit NC State.

Signing day is just around the corner and Hogansville (GA) athlete Tez Parks has a couple of schools that he's keeping a close eye on.

NC State and North Carolina are the two teams at the top of Parks' list currently and he says he's hoping to visit both schools in the coming days.

Parks has never visited either school and said he isn't too familiar with the Raleigh-Durham area but he wants to take official visits to both schools before he makes his decision in the next couple of weeks.

Most recruits that have multiple official visits remaining will be on the road for two or three consecutive weekends. But since Parks' finalists are so close to one another he said that he's going to plan on visiting them on the same trip.

"I don't have any officials planned but I know I'm going to be going to those two. Both of those have been around and recruiting me and they're at the top."

Parks said the two schools are even and if he had to make his decision today he's not sure what he would do. So it will all come down to those visits. Parks does not have dates in mind for when he will be in Raleigh and Chapel Hill respectively.

"I talk to Coach Jackson from NC State and from North Carolina the man I talk to is Coach Vic (Koenning). I'd say I've talked to Coach Jackson more though. Right now I like how the coaches at NC State seem like a family but I have to go visit and see more about it. UNC is the same way but I've got to go visit them too."

Parks is being recruited by both schools as an athlete and he isn't sure whether he would play offense or defense in college. That's a conversation that may take place should he make an official visit to each school.

Parks is rated a three-star prospect and the No. 71 safety in the nation by Scout.com.
