days Kendall Hinton feels like he has a favorite. That feeling
is usually a fleeting thing.
often than not Hinton isn't sure where he wants to go. Sometimes
he starts to feel like one school is rising to the top but
almost invariably another school will cause him to think twice
State is one of the constants with the Southern Durham
quarterback and the Wolfpack has never been out of Hinton's
was at a Junior Day up there a little while back. I've been
there a couple of times. I'd probably say nine, ten times. I'm
pretty comfortable with the coaches. We got a pretty good
connection. Mostly me and Coach Kitchings and Coach Canada.
let me know they're probably bringing in more of a speed
offense. It will be more running with the quarterback and things
said he spoke with Dave Doeren on that last trip to NCSU. The
Pack's head coach spoke about the opportunities Hinton would
have at State, with the football program and in the classroom.
The facilities have also been a big part of the a coaches'
coaches are working on him though. Hinton visited ECU recently
and the Pirates are telling him that he could compete for a spot
"I enjoyed myself at ECU. We pretty much took a campus tour and got to see all the football and school stuff. I've been going back and forth between State, Duke and ECU."
Because he has never been able to pick one school and stick with them Hinton said he does not know when a decision might be coming. His indecisiveness isn't a result of inaction.
He's been to the three schools just mentioned as well as North Carolina and Clemson.
Hinton has thrown for 5,675 yards over the past two years and led the Spartans to a state title in 2013.
