AUDIO: Gottfried, Washington Talk NCAAs

RALEIGH, N.C. -- NC State's Mark Gottfried and Kyle Washington discuss the Wolfpack's NCAA Tournament bid.

Mark Gotttfried

"Some of us have been in a room like that before, but it's still tough, it's hard to sit there and wait. You don't know for sure if you're going to be called."

"Our players earned their way into the tournament. We were hoping to see our names and our guys were really excited when they did."

"I think that had a lot to do with it. I don't know that for sure, but I think the fact that we played really well late."

"I think our schedule strength was No. 21 in the country. We lost a lot of guys from last year and could have made a choice to soften up the nonconference schedule, and I didn't want to do that."

"It's going to be a tough game. Xavier is about an hour away from Dayton so it will be a home game atmosphere for them. But, we've played on the road this year. If you have to play in front of a visiting-type crowd, so be it."

Kyle Washington

"We were so excited as a team because we've been through so much this year."

"We're just ready to go at this point."

"We were nervous. We didn't know what our postseason was looking like, but now we do."

"It's time to show the whole nation what the Wolfpack can do."

"It has a huge advantage. I'm going to do whatever I can to help my team."

"Xavier is a tough team. They play hard."

"We're playing with a lot of enthusiasm."
