Jordan Brown has offers from NC State and East Carolina and he has visited both of those schools this spring.
Brown was at East Carolina not long ago and he said he enjoyed that trip even more because the Pirates had offered. Then he followed that up with a trip to NCSU last weekend.
The 5-10, 180 pound class of 2016 athlete from Southern Durham had been to two of State's earlier spring practices and he attended several of the team's games last season. He enjoyed the scrimmage last Saturday.
"It was pretty good. It was a really good atmosphere. They had a cookout for the people that were there. I got to talk to Tony Creecy because he went to my high school. I didn't know him before that though. He seemed pretty cool."
If the offer wasn't proof enough of State's interest, the fact that Dave Doeren spoke with Brown one on one should be. He spoke with a couple of position coaches as well.
"They just congratulated me on my offer and they were telling me a little about the program and how they do things at State. They offered me two weeks ago and I got that offer over the phone. I was pretty excited when that happened. I like the school a lot. I like the fact that their running backs coach is the recruiter for my area. I think that's a pretty good thing."
Brown rushed for 750 yards and had 400 receiving yards to his credit as well last year. He scored 16 total touchdowns.
It's a little early assume that NC State and ECU have a huge advantage over the other schools recruiting him. While they do have an edge because of the early offers, Brown said he does not have a favorite and will continue taking his time.
