According to a report, NC State sophomore quarterback Bryant Shirreffs has decided to transfer to another school.

Athens Banner Herald: Shirreffs To Transfer

Bryant Shirreffs (6-foot-3, 223 pounds) played in nine games as a true freshman and accounted for a passing and rushing touchdown in the Wolfpack's 23-21 win over Richmond in September. He rushed for 158 yards on 34 carries and was one of six NC State athletes to make the All-ACC Academic team.

The decision to transfer built up over time, John Shirreffs said. Florida transfer Jacoby Brissett is expected to start for the Wolfpack at quarterback.

"At this point, it is what it is and you've got to do what you've got to do to get to the next opportunity," John Shirreffs said. "He's excited. He knows if he wants to get where he wants to be as a quarterback, you have to develop and you have to play to develop."
