NC State To Hold Fourth Lift For Life

Harrisburg, Pa. (July 10, 2014) – The North Carolina State Chapter of Uplifting Athletes will hold its fourth Lift For Life event Thursday, July 24 at 5 p.m. inside Carter-Finley Stadium.

Lift For Life is the signature fundraising event for the Uplifting Athletes nationwide network of 25 college football student-athlete led chapters. The Wolfpack Chapter continues its mission of raising awareness and research dollars for the rare disease Leukemia, the chosen rare disease of the North Carolina State Chapter.

“Our goal is to raise awareness and $5,000 for a rare disease that directly impacted our NC State football family,” NC State Chapter President Andrew Jomantas said. “This is our fourth year holding a Lift For Life and my teammates and I are excited.

“For our fans who can’t join us that day, you can still support our work in the rare disease community by visiting our donation page and supporting your favorite Wolfpack football player.”

The North Carolina State Lift For Life is open to the public. For fans that wish to attend the event and watch the Lift For Life teams compete against each other, the chapter is asking fans to contribute $5 per adult and $2 for children 12 and under. The admission fee will serve as a donation to Leukemia research.
