"I'd like to thank our fans who came today and endured the heat."

"It was a great football game. Georgia Southern... they played hard. I think it came down to the 4th quarter."

"I think our football team was in better shape. I want to give coach Veltkamp, Dantonio Burnette, and our strength staff a huge thank you."

"We played four quarters of football. Players made plays that they didn't make. We played a really good fourth quarter."

"We just kept playing. There was time on the clock."

"Giving Jacoby a chance to drive us down and have a game-winning throw."

"I'm proud of [Byrd]."

"All quarterbacks throw picks. He threw his first pick, he came over, and I congratulated him on throwing his first pick."

"I said, 'you threw your first pick. Shake it off man,' and he did."

"I challenged our offensive players that one player can't tackle you."

"In the first half we traded field goals for their touchdowns and in the second half we flipped that."

"Huge momentum swing in the game... finishing. You have to finish that drive and they did."

"We went for it on fourth down and didn't get it, but didn't panic."

"We just have to be better in the beginning."

"Their defensive kids were tired. I don't know how many fall-downs they had in the second half, but I thought it was ridiculous."

"That's a back-breaker, 99-yards. Especially after a turnover."

"I just told them the truth. I asked if they did all this work in the summer for this?"
