What type of a challenge does Old Dominion present?
They have a really good quarterback. The quarterback last week was a runner, more of an option team.
This week we have a passer. He won the Walter Payton award and is really good. I feel like he can play on this level, and I give him my respect.
How tough was the Georgia Southern offense... not knowing what you would face and having to defend the option? How is this week different?
It's better. In the first game we were fighting fullbacks... playing different blocks. This week we're getting off the ball and using pass-rush moves.
This is my preferrable game.
How would u grade your performance?
If I could give it a technique grade I'd probably say about 80%. I didn't make any big mistakes but you can always do better.
What concerns you the most with Old Dominion?
The quarterback feeling comfortable in the pocket. We can't let him get comfortable because he can throw it.
I know they pass a lot, but is it an offense where he looks to get rid of the ball quickly or does he take deep drops that can allow you to actually pressure him?
He's six and a half yards deep in the backfield and he's still dropping back to throw the ball.
He's way back there.
Does he throw it more to the sideline or vertically?
He throws a lot of vertical routes an things like that.
