Locker Room Report: Wolfpack Players

TAMPA, FL -- A couple of NC State players met with the media following the win over South Florida.

Jacoby Brissett

"I feel like offensively, we came out and played a great game. We fell off at the end but the defense came in and did a great job of stepping up and they played a great game."

"We have still got room to improve for the next game but overall the guys are playing well."

"It is hard to say. Different games mean different situations. It was the comeback-type win but like I said the defense came out and played a great game. They proved they could play a full four quarters of defense."

"I feel like Coach Canada did a great job of scheming and really game-planning a way to spread them out and get them to use their speed. He called a great game. He put us in the right situations."

"It was big. It is like our first road win in two years. I feel like that speaks volumes about our team and the type of players that we have, as far as mentality-wise, to come out and take it on someone else’s field."

"I feel like we have a lot of weapons to make plays and the offensive line is giving me time to find those weapons and make plays. At every moment of the game, we are bound to make a big play, so it is great to see our offense unfold. Coach Canada is doing a great job of calling plays and getting us in the right situation."

Bra'lon Cherry

"That was the main theme, to come out strong and finish."

"The hard work is paying off. If you keep working, it will pay off soon."

"It is just showing that you are putting in is going to pay off in the end. The last time (he scored three touchdowns in a game) was my senior year (of high school)."

"It was a different feeling but whatever they give me, I just try to work with it and make something happen and do what I can to help the team."

"It is a great feeling. I have just got to keep working and get better."

"The O-line, they have been doing really well and they have been working hard every day. I give all the credit to them."

"We have got weapons everywhere. Everybody can play so you are going to have to worry about not just one player but everybody else that is a receiver or running back--also the quarterback too."
