Pack Out Front For Parham

NC State has offered and leads for Raleigh (NC) Southeast junior quarterback Dylan Parham.

Since picking up an offer from NC State local quarterback Dylan Parham hasn’t been a stranger. Last Saturday marks the third game he has attended this year.
Parham was in the stands for NC State’s win over Old Dominion and again three weeks later for the game against Florida State. He was planning to visit for the Wolfpack’s game against Boston College on Saturday.
That’s not the extent of his relationship with the Wolfpack program either.
“I talk to them at least once or a couple of times a week. Mostly Coach Matt Canada. It was actually Coach Doeren that offered me but Coach Canada probably talks to me the most.”
His experience at the games was good. Parham saw one win and one loss.
“It was pretty exciting. There’s definitely a home field advantage when they play at Carter-Finley. It’s a great place to play. Last year I went to one game when they played ECU.”
Now that he knows about the fan base, the atmosphere, and where the program stands it’s just a matter of getting to know the coaches better. All of those conversations with Canada have helped. Parham said the two mostly talk about football although he feels comfortable talking about other things with him.
Canada has told Parham that he will take one or two quarterbacks from his class. Parham’s other offer is from ODU and he said he doesn’t feel any urgency to commit. He isn’t afraid another player will take his spot. He did say that he could see himself making a decision after his season but he hasn’t thought that all the way through yet.
Parham (6-4, 190 pounds) said that one thing Canada likes about him is his mastery of his own offense at Southeast Raleigh. It’s an offense with many of the same concepts that Canada works with and builds on at NC State.
“They think I fit the system. They like my intangibles too. I think Coach Canada is great. I think he can relate to you unlike some other coaches. He’s all about business but he’s also a friend and a mentor in a way. We’ll talk about how things are going and whether or not I’m improving. We talk about the recruiting process in general.”
Old Dominion has recruited Parham and wants him  as well but he has not visited the Virginia school. Boston College and Virginia Tech have spoken with Parham and others are sending him mail.
“NC State is probably my favorite. I don’t want to wait around too long but I’ll probably at least wait until sometime after the season.”
