Locker Room Report: Wolfpack Players

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- Several NC State players met with the media following the win over North Carolina.

Pharoah McKever

"We're playing for each other."

"I really didn't get to see what he had said... we backed it up."

"We played great. Everybody contributed."

"We just came out here and got the win today."

Jacoby Brissett

"I knew who the guy was. It wasn't about me. It was all about us. I knew I had to play well for us to win."

"Offense, defense and special teams. It was a collective effort."

"We knew we had to score points because we knew how explosive their offense was, but coach Hux did a great job with the defensive gameplan and the players did a great job of executing."

"The offensive line came out and did a great job."

"We were preaching, finish the block until the last whistle."

"If we needed to throw the ball I knew it would be open because they were getting heavy on us in the run."

"I honestly didn't know about that. That's the least of my worries. I'm just trying to get out there and let my play do the talking."

"He told me that he wanted me to make sure I was focused and kept my mind in the right place."

Shadrach Thornton

"I love those guys. We challenged them all week to win the frontline."

"It was really a two-headed demon that they couldn't stop."

"It was all because of the o-line. They are silent heroes. No one ever notices those guys. The toss sweep that I had, I practically ran straight ahead because they did their job."

"It was a big part of our game to have the 12th man here. We were away, but it felt like a home game the way they came and pretty much took over their stadium."

"It means everything."

Hakim Jones

"They came here real hungry, ready to play."

"We're very satisfied... it doesn't matter whether people were talking or not."

"We definitely backed it up."

"I watched a lot of film and that's just kind of how I felt."

"He's definitely a good player and he runs the ball hard for the most part. He's definitely a good guy and a good player."

"He's definitely a good player. He makes a lot of guys miss."

"T.Y. got a sack... I don't know what happened. I was just celebrating with T.Y. I didn't know he was hurt."

"I really hope he comes back for their bowl game. I hope it's not a serious injury. He's a good player and a big part of their team."

Thomas Teal

"We just came to play."

"They are a high-paced offense that scores a lot of point. The big thing was getting the line right and stopping the quarterback."

"He's the key to their offense and we tried our best to take him out."

"He basically gave us a goal and we just followed through with it."

"It wasn't disrespect. It was a challenge and we lived up to it."
