RALEIGH, N.C. -- NC State head coach Mark Gottfried met with the media to discuss tonight's game against Charleston Southern.

"We're excited to play in Reynolds. I think it's great every year. It gives our players a chance to play in a historic building."

"I never played here."

"The only time I ever was in Reynolds, I actually came and watched an AAU event."

"I like playing here, I think our players like playing here, and I think our fans too, it kind of ties them back to the past."

"We'll talk about it. If it fits and works we'll try to do it."

"Our guys like playing here... it's good to play in Reynolds a couple of times a year."

"We looked at the dates... we liked the fact that we had to play Friday and we chose to play Sunday afternoon... almost like you would in the NCAA Tournament."

"Both opponents are capable. Wofford has five starters back and Charleston Southern went on the road and beat Ole Miss."

"Young guys, they don't get tired, they can play. A lot of times it depends on how the first game goes, but it's a part of the turf."

"I do think that Reynolds is a shooter's gym. For me, I feel like I would have walked in here feeling like I'm going to make a lot of shots."

"I think they've been good but need to be a lot better... that's really all of them."

"Kyle, offensively is a little more ahead of all the other guys."

"Malik is just young, he's kind of waiting on that breakout game where he can gain some confidence."

"Some of it is being young, some of it is getting better."

"We have to keep coaching them well and putting them in the right positions on the floor where they'll have good opportunities."

"It's just, those guys are a little bit more experienced. Trevor and Ralston have played a lot of college basketball games."

"I hope our team can get more balance, inside-outside balance."

"Oh no, oh no, oh no... good shot Kyle. He's a confident player. Really with him, if he has his feet set and not taking a tough three, a wide open one, he's made those. He's made them in practice. It depends on the time and score, and which part of the game it is."

"Very good, very good and they are only going to get better the more they play together."
