RALEIGH, N.C. -- NC State's Trevor Lacey and Cody Martin discuss the upcoming game against North Carolina.

Trevor Lacey

"We know what we have to do against teams that press us."

"We'll prepare for the press... we can't let that bother us."

"We learned from our mistakes. We changed our press-break around a little bit... we also calmed down."

"It was awesome. It was like neither one of them could miss. Unfortunately, we couldn't get a stop the last play of the game... it was a similar shot that he made against Louisville the other day."

"He's a good player... we know, actually we practiced that situation here in practice. If it comes down to that, we're not going to let him beat us this time. If they beat us another way, we're not going to be excited about it, but we're going to make sure he's not the guy that gets that shot."

"That was a great game... it was a classic. Those guys came out and did what they had to do. I'm not sure what Marcus had in the second half, but he pretty much carried the team and he made the last play down the stretch."

"You really can't take away what they do, you just have to try and make it tough on them."

"We can't let him get wide open shots and get going."

"I could see them putting bigger defenders on me, but I have to stick to the gameplan and execute... be more aggressive. If they have a bigger guy I can try to take them off the dribble and be more aggressive. Smaller guys, I try to create space and shoot over them."

Cody Martin

"Me and my brother look at each other all the time, and we don't know how [Lacey] does it."

"Sometimes he makes shots on me and I'm wondering to this day how he makes them. As long as he's on my team and he's making those shots I'm fine with that."

"I just try to encourage my teammates. At first it is hard, especially coming from Oak Hill where me and Caleb were like the main players."

"It's hard to sit on the sideline and watch people play, but at the same time I'm still on the team, and I want my team to do well."

"I had a lot of support from my teammates, coaches, and my family to keep working and my time would come. When it does come, I just need to take advantage of it."

"I think I'm versatile. I can kind of do both. I can bring the ball up the court but also stay in the back if we need help. I really enjoy being able to be versatile enough to play both spots. I think that also helps me in a way get minutes to."

"I don't really try to be flashy or score the most points. I just feel like I need to do what i need to do to get us a win. If that's passing, I'll do that. Playing defense, I'll do that... even if it's taking charges. Or sitting on the bench and letting them play, who is in the game doing well. I try to contribute in any way possible, even if it's cheering."

"I really wasn't a fan of anybody. I just grew up around a lot of Carolina fans. Just being around them, they love them. Now that we get to play them this week I really want to beat them."

"I know there's a lot of Duke fans. I have a stepbrother who is a huge Duke fan... honestly he's starting to come around to being a State fan, but I think right now he's still a Duke fan."

"I think they were looking at us, but I don't think it was anything major. Duke didn't recruit us at all."
