Recruiting Scene: McCoy was active during the summer camp circuit hitting several schools along the east coast. Along the way he earned offers from NC State, USF and Rutgers and interest from UGA, South Carolina and his father’s alma mater Florida. A few games into his senior year of high school McCoy decided he had waited long enough and gave a verbal commitment to the Pack. McCoy graduated high school early and is currently enrolled at NCSU.

Why NC State? “I just want to help the Pack get to the next level. The recruits that are coming to NC State, I've been talking to them and we want to help State make it to the next level and become a dominant program in the NCAA and the ACC.”

Picked NC State Over: USF And Rutgers

Scouting Report:  “McCoy is a road grader on the interior of the offensive line. He gets his pads low and drives defenders off the line of scrimmage. McCoy is also adept at pulling and has surprisingly quick feet. Like many offensive linemen making the transition from high school to college McCoy will need to continue to work on his body and technique.” – Pack Pride Scouting Report
