Recruiting Scene: Meyers initially committed to Kent State last July but the decommitment of Austin King led NC State to give him a look.

The Pack had to move quickly to secure a quarterback for 2015 which led offensive coordinator Matt Canada to make the trip down to Stone Mountain and offer him in person.

Meyers followed that up with an official visit to Raleigh and he switched his commitment to the Wolfpack shortly thereafter.

However. his recruiting was far from over. Florida made a last minute run at him with an offer which put his commitment to NC State in doubt. The Pack turned up the recruiting heat and convinced him to turn down a visit to Florida and were able to keep him committed through signing day.

Why NC State? "When I visited the school I loved it. My parents came with me, and they loved it too. The school... it was an amazing place. I knew that was where I wanted to go.

"Tony Adams was my host. He was a real cool guy, you could tell he likes it there. He knew all the players and showed me around."

Picked NC State Over: Florida, Kent State

Scouting Report: “Meyers may not have prototypical size but he’s not just your average athlete either. He’s a multi-sport star that’ll bring tremendous athleticism to NC State. Meyers has adequate arm strength and ball placement although he is inconsistent in his delivery. However, he really brings the added dimension of being able to exploit defenses with his feet and extend plays.” - Pack Pride Scouting Report
