Recruiting Scene: Sessoms was one of NC State's earliest commitments, as he picked the Wolfpack prior to the 2013 Kay Yow Spring Game.
He had landed early scholarship offers from NC State, Wake Forest, and East Carolina.
Why NC State? “I just felt like NC State was the place for me. They have the education. They have some wide receivers leaving and we've just communicated a lot through Twitter and phone calls. It just felt like home every time I visited down there.”
Scouting Report: “NC State picked up a wide receiver recently that is going to keep defensive backs up at night and have D-coordinators leaving the sprinklers on the night before the game. Brian has a really nice head and shoulder shake that he times up well and uses it to get defenders to lean the wrong way.
“Brian is an ankle breaker, and he makes defenders miss. Once the defenders break down, Brian rapidly accelerates and splits the seam. Sessoms quickly gets to 4th gear and the acceleration is so rapid that it outpaces pursuit angles.
“Brian plays tough and he tries to deliver a blow when being tackled. He wants to be the hammer instead of the nail. Brian hits the defender that is trying to knock him out of bounds.
“All of Brian's effort is aimed at getting into the endzone. He is a tough player that will make the hard catch and take the "timex hit" and bounce right up.
“Brian is a great pickup for NC State.” – Pack Pride Analyst Mike Doyle
