Athens (GA) Prince Ave Christian School offensive tackle Robert Kraeling is one of the top offensive line prospects on the NC State recruiting board and he's quickly closing in on a decision.
Kraeling has a long list of schools under consideration including NC State, Auburn, Duke, Boston College, Tennessee, Alabama, Virginia Tech, Vanderbilt, Baylor and Miami so reaching a final decision has been a long process. It isn't over just yet, either.
Kraeling will be at NC State on Wednesday and Thursday. He will then check out Duke and Boston College before making his commitment sometime around the end of April or early May.
For the Pack, this will likely be their last chance to impress Kraeling in person. They'll need to impress him with so many heavy hitters on his list and academics will likely be the focus.
"I need to check out some final things at State," said Kraeling. "I'm probably making a decision in the next 3-4 weeks (so) I've got some soul searching to do.
"I want to compare top academics balanced with competitive football and where I best fit and can make the most contribution."
The Pack does have longevity on their side. NC State was the first FBS school to offer. He is rated a three-star prospect and the No.51 offensive tackle in the nation by Scout.com.
