A Champlin, Minn-native who played at Brewster Academy in New Hampshire, Washington posted a double-double at No. 1 Syracuse during his freshman season and seemed poised to have an even greater impact during the 2014-15 campaign.

The 6’9” sophomore started 42 games in two seasons at NC State but his playing time diminished as last season progressed. Washington averaged less than seven minutes per game over the final 11 contests, including two games in which he did not appear.

Washington averaged 6.8 points per game last season. In his final game with the Wolfpack he came off the bench to score nine points on 4-for-5 shooting from the floor in State’s loss to Louisville in the East Region Semifinals at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse.
