RALEIGH, N.C. -- NC State assistant coach Rob Moxley is dealing with a medical issue the school confirmed this afternoon.
"Wednesday evening NC State men's basketball assistant coach Rob Moxley was taken to a local hospital where he is responsive, in stable condition and recovering, while surrounded by family," NC State said in a prepared statement. "We are in continued contact with the Moxley family. Our thoughts and those of Wolfpack Nation are with Coach Mox and his family and we respect their privacy in this health matter."
"Our first priority is with Rob and his family," added Wolfpack head coach Mark Gottfried. "He has improved throughout the last 36 hours and we appreciate the support, prayers and thoughts."
Coach Moxley arrived at NC State shortly after coach Gottfried was hired. He is entering his fifth season as an assistant coach for the Wolfpack.
