NOTES: Justin Witt added offers this spring and had over 20 scholarship offers when he committed to NC State last week.
Witt was coming off a weekend unofficial visit to NC State that sold him on the Wolfpack.
"Originally I did want to stay close to home for family reasons but after going there it kind of felt like a second home to me," said Witt. "It will be good to get out and see other places."
At 6-foot-6 and 270 pounds, Witt has a lot of upside and plenty of tools for NC State's coaching staff to work with.
"He's a good athlete who has played a couple different positions on the line," Scout.com Recruiting Analyst Allen Trieu said of Witt. "He has the frame to continue to add weight and strength, something he has been doing, but must continue to do more of.
"He has plenty of room to grow still in the upper body. He's very coordinated, plays with his feet underneath him and good balance. He has the footwork and athleticism to play tackle at a high level in college, he just needs to keep working on technique."
Witt held over 20 offers from programs like Illinois, Iowa State, Rutgers, and Syracuse among others, and the three-star prospect is rated the No. 46 offensive tackle in the country by Scout.com.
