Berrios confirmed that he has decided to transfer to NC State.
"I had a pretty good year at Louisburg," said Berrios. "I was looking for somewhere to transfer, and I've always loved state so I got in contact with coach Trevathan and they gave me the opportunity."
He played high school ball at Raleigh (NC) Leesville where he lined up with his younger brother, Braxton Berrios, who eventually inked with Miami.
Austin can play slot receiver and punt returner for the Wolfpack. He will have two years of eligibility remaining after playing as a redshirt sophomore for Louisburg.
"I'm excited," he said. "A couple of kids from Leesville before me go to State, and I know they love it. It's going to be great, being able to play in front of family and friends. I'm glad it's worked out that way for me."
Berrios, who will be a preferred walk-on, added that he will start classes at NC State on June 26th.
