Rocky Mount (NC) linebacker Sherrod Greene already holds an offer from NC State but it didn't stop him from working out in front of the Wolfpack coaches at their summer camp last weekend.
Measuring in at 6-0, 214 pounds, Greene ran an impressive 4.57-second 40-yard dash and posted a 31.5-inch vertical jump. He was impressive in drills and stood out in coverage during one on ones. Greene felt he did well but that there's always room for improvement.
"It went good. I could've done better but I'm satisfied with what I did."
In addition to improving his skills, the trip to State also gave Greene a chance to evaluate the coaches.
"They're very good coaches and I like the way they coach. They're very intense. I like this school a lot. They've already offered me and I was happy about that. I was overwhelmed. It was just a blessing."
In addition to NC State, the 2017 prospect also holds early offers from East Carolina, Old Dominion and UNC-Charlotte. However, as things stand now, everyone is chasing the Pack.
"I'm leaning towards NC State the most right now."
