NC State hosted several prospects from the state of New Jersey last week at their football camp including Cherry Hill (NJ) Camden WR Tyree Rodgers.
Rodgers has been very high on the Wolfpack for some time and the chance to camp at State gave him an opportunity to see the Pack coaching staff in action.
He told Pack Pride that he came away impressed with what he saw and a clear leader in his recruiting.
"I loved the wide receiver coach. I loved the drills. He's a pretty good coach. I love the school. NC State is my number one school right now. The coaching staff is what really stands out to me. They want me at wide receiver and in college, that's where I want to play."
Rodgers also had a chance to see NC State's brand new pratice facility- something the NC State coaches have been more than happy to show off.
"I actually came down about three weeks ago and it was halfway done. It looks good."
In addition to the Pack, Rodgers said he's also considering a couple of Carolinas.
"(I'm also looking at) South Carolina and UNC but they haven't offered yet."
Rodgers said he doesn't have any more visits on the horizon and hopes to make a decision by the second week of September.
