Locker Room Report: Wolfpack Players

NORFOLK, VA -- Several NC State players met with the media following the win over Old Dominion.

Shadrach Thornton

"I just really wanted to come out and basically be good with my eyes, be good with my protection."

"Anytime they win up front is good for the running backs."

"We had some guys step up and make some plays for us."

"This late game, I know you have a lot of teams that like to play late, but I was gnawing my fingernails all day, ready to get out here."

"I'm us ready to focus on ball and school."

"It's one run out there, I should have kept my feet on that one."

"I have to be better next week."

Mike Rose

"This is not a revenge game for us."

"This year we made it a focal point to get at them."

"Three-and-outs has been something we've worked on. Last year we had some problems getting off the field on third down and that was a focus."

"We just got in his face and we put hats on him... we put hats on the football. We were trying to get to him before he could get going."

"We are trying to be a top ten defense so that one play will hurt us in yardage."

"Him and Matt Dayes are a great one-two punch."

Jaylen Samuels

"We've been running these plays for a long time, they just weren't called the first two games."

"I can see they are focused on me when I'm in the wing."

"I just keep doing what I'm doing. I just run whatever play is called."

"It brings more weapons to our offense."

"I think our offense has improved since last year and we can compete for the ACC championship this year."
