NORFOLK, VA -- NC State head coach Dave Doeren met with the media following the win over Old Dominion.

"Coach Wilder is a first-class guy as far as the way they took care of us."

"I'm really proud of our players."

"Jacoby had a fever and didn't feel well this morning, but no way you're keeping him off the field. He wanted to play no matter what."

"We had to move Joe Thuney back in to guard and Tyler Jones played left tackle for the first time."

"It was a good football game for us."

"You take away the screen pass and we pretty much eliminated him."

"That was the plan. We wanted to see if the quarterback could beat us... pack the box, and we asked our DBs to play a lot of man-to-man early. Other than one drive, I thought they did a good job."

"He had a couple of really nice blitz pickups too."

"Once we got to where we were offensive line we were running the ball more than we have."

"The plan was if they packed it in we were going to throw out there."

"We have a long bus ride home."

"They were saying it was a contusion. They went knee-to-knee... he should be fine. He'll be a little sore. He was walking around a second ago."

"We had no turnovers, only two penalties. We played really well in a road game."

"I think Matt does a really good job of changing tendencies. You don't want to do the same thing all the time."

"They were playing single-high safety defense so we felt like it was a good play to run."
