PC: NC State's Jacoby Brissett and Hakim Jones Meet With The Media

RALEIGH, N.C. -- NC State's Jacoby Brissett and Hakim Jones met with the media to discuss the upcoming game against Louisville.

Jacoby Brissett

"Just keep pushing, no matter what... just keep trying to fight to put more points on the board."

"They've been in every game.  The game versus Clemson was down to the wire. They are going to come out ready to play. We just have to be prepared and ready to go."

"Some of those players came back. They still have great talent all around."

"They are going to come in here ready to play. We just have to make sure we do our job."

"I think it started... they came in the same time I transferred. We've been going at it for three years now and we're finally starting to click on a high level. Coach McDonald is doing a great job with them... I know they are going to make plays.  I'm excited to see them play."

"You still have to win the game.  Those teams still play tough.  Those teams are still able to beat you any Saturday.  It's our job to go out there and do what we're supposed to do and win those games."

"Every Saturday is exciting. To be out there and get in the huddle and just go to war.  That's what you play college football for. We just have to go out there and be ready."

"I know they are going to come out feisty.  They are all ball-hawks on defense and very athletic. I know their coaches are going to get them ready to play."

"It's our job to stay true to what we do and go out there and execute."

Hakim Jones

"It's always been go-time. We treat every game the same.  No matter who we play, we prepare the same way."

"You always have to be aware of who is in the game.  We have to go by that, know which quarterback is the best passer, know which quarterback is the best runner, and know which plays you'll get from each quarterback."

"Yes because it's an ACC game, but our goal is to win every game.  Whether we win or lose, that's the deciding factor."

"The major thing is not giving away what we're doing and trying to execute our gameplan, things like that.  The major thing is to show the same look every play and go from there."

"I'd agree because he basically challenged us to play better."

"He encouraged us to go out and do better the next game."

"We came up with four wins and I feel like we've played pretty well for the most part.  A couple of bombs happened to us early in the game, but we did what we had to do to get the win."

"We have some of the best fans in the world... it definitely gives us an edge.  The games are always sold out but there will be everybody in their seats for this one."

"We had a couple of coverage breakdowns early on.  Teams are going to make plays, they are on scholarship too. Those guys can make plays like we can. You're going to get beat sometimes.  That's the nature of the position."

"Another reason is we haven't played anybody in the big conferences like the ACC yet."

"Our defense is going to be prepared for this game.  It's as simple as that."

"Takeaways are always a goal... there's going to be a lot of potential as well because they throw the ball a lot, run the ball a lot, we're going to put a huge emphasis on it."
