Alex Barr: "We Know We Need To Finish"

RALEIGH, N.C. -- NC State senior offensive guard Alex Barr met with the media to discuss the upcoming game against Wake Forest.

"It feels good."

"I think finish for this program is a cornerstone. It's not just looking at the last two games, but it goes back to our winter workouts. It's all about finish, finish, finish... never stop or pay attention to the score, just keep driving and driving."

"They were close games. We just didn't pull them out in the end. We know we need to finish, we know how to do it, and we know we can do it."

"This team has never played there before. With that said, I think we need to look at past experiences and past teams and see why they couldn't win and maybe learn from that."

"I think we're close. I feel like everyone is in, we're there, and we play for each other. We all want it. We don't want it for ourselves, we want it for everyone else."

"We genuinely care for each other... we think we're close."

"During the bye they looked at a bunch of film as a staff and called us in to tell us what we needed to work on and what we've done well. For me, pad level is a big thing."

"I think it came at a fine time. I don't think playing last week would have got the sour taste of losing two games out of our mouths. It's nice to have."

"I think we approach every game as a must-win game. I think every week we go into it like it's 0-0, whether you're 10-0 or 0-10, week 11 you're 0-0. Every game is a must-win game."

"I think for every position, and even the offensive line it's important to get guys healthy and back."

"They have hard workers... high-motor guys who don't stop. They play together, are disciplined, care for each other, and play hard."

"He'll be alright. He knows what he needs to do. He's the leader of this team. He'll be alright."
