McCloud Ready For Trip to Raleigh

South Pointe (SC) cornerback Nick McCloud is looking forward to his trip to Raleigh this weekend.

It could be a big weekend for the McCloud family and for NC State. Nick McCloud isn't saying that a commitment could be imminent but he likes NC State a lot and he will be in town this weekend.
McCloud is excited to visit NC State and not only because the Wolfpack gets to take a crack at No. 3 Clemson. That's a bonus but he is more ready to visit because he picked up an offer from the program's coaches a little while ago and this is his latest chance to talk to those coaches more.
Speaking of those coaches, they made it clear that McCloud (6-1, 173) would be welcome for this weekend and they said they want to go over some things.
"They haven't really told me what I'm going to be doing but I know they said they want to talk to me for a little bit. I've been talking to Coach Faulkner and Coach Barlow so I'll see what they say. I'm excited to get down there."
McCloud won't be traveling alone as a host of family members will make the trip to Raleigh with him.
"I'm going with my family. I'll be there with my whole family, all five of us. Me and my dad went to their spring game. I know my dad liked it. He really likes the coaching staff at NC State."
The coaches might want to talk to McCloud and they will probably make it clear it no uncertain terms that they would like to have him on their commit list. They have not pushed too hard and McCloud likes that.
"They like me a lot but they know I've got some great offers, and I don't think they've pushed me like that."
McCloud was at North Carolina two weeks ago and he was at Vanderbilt last week for their win over Missouri to snap a long conference losing streak.
He said he does not know when he will be ready to make a decision but he is not visiting with the intent to commit.
