Although NC State lost to Clemson on Saturday night, several recruits came away impressed with the atmosphere at Carter-Finley Stadium and the future of Wolfpack football. Pack Pride caught up with several for quick reaction to this week’s game.
“I thought the atmosphere was great and there was definitely a lot of excitement throughout the stands. I think there were a lot of positives to take from the game. There are good things to come.” - NC State Commitment Harrison Gee
“The game yesterday was incredible. It was my first time coming to a game and I really enjoyed it. I loved the atmosphere and everything. I like everything about NC State. The coaches are real cool, the academics are great and just the way the team interacts is awesome, too.” - DT Grant Gibson (2017), 3 star prospect that holds offers from NC State, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, Vanderbilt, West Virginia and Colorado State
“I loved the atmosphere, the coaching staff and every aspect of NC State. Their style of play is a very good fit with me.” - OL Eric Douglas (2017), holds offers from NC State, Clemson and South Carolina
“It was electric, no other way to put it. There aren't many places like Carter Finley and I can't wait to be a part of it one day.”- NC State Commitment Dylan Parham
“Man the atmosphere was great. It was great to see the fans support the team throughout the game. The Wolfpack is a great team and they fought for four quarters. I think the fans and those watching the game on TV got their money's worth because the game was a back and forth battle. State is a program on the rise and they will continue to get better and grow every day. As a player it's hard to watch a game like that because you want to be on the field in the battle. I'm proud of my Wolfpack family- both fans and teammates and I’m proud I've made the right choice. GOPACK!!!”- NC State Commitment Kollin Byers
“The atmosphere really surprised me. I've never been before so it was quite a surprise and I enjoyed seeing the coaches again because I love the coaching staff.” - CB Nick McCloud, holds offers from NC State, West Virginia, Marshall, Kansas State, East Carolina, Northwestern and Vanderbilt
“Well it was jam-packed of course and the fans were live. I loved the school spirit all the students and the alumni have. I can't wait to be a part of it and it was cool seeing the basketball recruits there as well. The team fought hard and never gave up which I loved the most but State is the place I wanna be. I love everything about it and can't wait to get there.” - NC State Commitment Daeshawn Stephens
“Well it was a very good game in my eyes . I watched NC State’s defense make some good stops and they played very well against the #3 team in the nation .. They just have to keep building. The crowd was pretty deep . And NC State’s offense is doing better it seemed at some points.” - DE Elijah Conliffe (2017), 4-star prospect that holds offers from NC State, Georgia, Cincinnati, UNC, Virginia, Wake Forest and East Carolina.
