Banks Recaps Wolfpack Official Visit

Columbia (MO) defensive back Bryce Banks talks about his weekend trip to NC State.

It’s been a whirlwind courtship between NC State and Columbia (MO) Rock Bridge DB Bryce Banks (6-2, 187 pounds). The Pack only offered him a couple of weeks ago and since, have worked hard to establish a connection. That apparently worked as Banks was in Raleigh this past weekend for an official visit with State. Banks talked with Pack Pride about the trip.

“I had a really good time at NC State. I already knew a little bit about the coaching staff because coach Doeren recruited one of my best friends- Paris Logan and he played at Northern Illinois.

“So I knew that coach Doeren was a real good coach. He’s all about winning and cares about his players. So I knew the coaching staff would be great based off other people.”

Banks also had a chance to take an in-depth look at what NC State has to offer, including watching the Pack take down Syracuse Saturday afternoon.

“The facilities were real nice. The atmosphere was crazy. The crowd was just crazy. I liked the academics and the academic support. It seemed real good on how they run things which I really like a lot right now.”

So where does Banks go from here?

“I’ve got an official visit to Illinois on December 4. State and Illinois are the main two I’m looking at until I set up some more visits. I know Tulsa has talked about me coming down for a visit but right now it’s all about the timing.”

NC State is recruiting Banks as a defensive back that could potentially play corner or safety. He is an early enrollee that is rated a three star prospect and the No. 89 safety in the nation by Scout.com.
