After Clemson's win over North Carolina in the Atlantic Coast Conference title game, the conference bowl picture is clearer, and NC State should learn this evening where they will be playing over the holidays.
The ACC currently has 10 teams eligible for bowls, including Notre Dame, and the league has tiered the bowl tie-ins for selection purposes.
What does it all mean for NC State?
Well, at 7-5 the options are limited. The realistic options are: Belk Bowl, Sun Bowl, Military Bowl, Pinstripe Bowl, and Independence Bowl. It will likely be one of those bowls for the Wolfpack. It's hard to know what will happen because the bowls will be making their choices. Last year many had the Wolfpack slotted to play in the Belk Bowl but they ended up in the Bitcoin Bowl, which no longer has an affiliation with the ACC.
According to a source, the school ADs will be notified this afternoon via conference call of their bowl bid.
Here is a look at where some of the latest bowl projections have the Wolfpack playing over the Holidays.
