LOCKER ROOM REPORT: Wolfpack Players

RALEIGH, N.C. -- Several NC State players met with the media after the win over High Point.

"It was a good shot. We ran that corner play for Mav and it wasn't there. I took matters into my own hands and made the shot."

"It was a play for Maverick to get to the other side, but they played it good. Time was running down and I kind of ran into Caleb."

"It feels great to help my team get this win, a close game."

"It's over now. We have to get ready for Missouri."

"I don't think BeeJay got to it."

"I run into Caleb a lot, but when I ran into him I was able to keep my dribble."

Maverick Rowan PC

"Cat hit a great shot at the buzzer to win the game.  I'm happy about it."

"I had to get back in the flow of the game... I had to help my team.  All-around we played better as a team at the end."

"I definitely thought about it, but the right play is to call timeout and set up something else."

"I wanted to make the right play."

Abdul-Malik Abu PC

"High Point played well, and we overcame adversity."

"I felt going in that the bigs had the mismatch. In the second half I wanted to exploit it and attack the rim."

"I used my physical gifts to get to the rim and make plays."

"You can always control how hard you work."

"We wanted to make him work on both ends.  He was one of their offensive anchors."
