Barber Honored By The ACC

For the second time this season, Anthony 'Cat' Barber has been voted ACC Men's Basketball Player of the Week. The 6-2 junior guard earned the accolade after standout performances against High Point and Missouri last week.

For the second time this season, Anthony 'Cat' Barber has been voted ACC Men's Basketball Player of the Week. The 6-2 junior guard earned the accolade after standout performances against High Point and Missouri last week.

Barber, the ACC's leading scorer with 22.2 points per game, scored 26 points and hit a game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer in last Wednesday's home win over High Point. He then scored 33 points on 9-for-15 shooting from the floor and 13-for-15 shooting at the foul line in a road win at Missouri on Saturday.

For the week, Barber averaged 29.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists while playing 39.5 minutes per game. 

Barber was also voted the league's player of the week on Nov. 30. He shares the week's honor from the league office with Brice Johnson of UNC Chapel Hill.

NC State (8-3) hosts UNC Greensboro Tuesday, Dec. 22 at PNC Arena at 7 p.m. The Wolfpack enters Tuesday night's game having won each of its last four games.
