Brissett: "I Just Want To Win"

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- NC State senior quarterback Jacoby Brissett talks about the upcoming Belk Bowl.

“I just want to win, and for a quarterback, you need to be able to stay calm throughout the whole season, not just a game. Tomorrow’s go time, so I got to get ready for that.”

“I think the players that the coaches have been able to bring in and put around me know that as a team we’d be able to create the offensive schemes because we’ve changed offenses multiple years. It’s tailored toward our players, and it’s fun to play with these guys. We go out there and compete, and a lot of them do a lot of things that not a lot of people see that lead to our team’s success, and I’m just lucky to be a part of the puzzle.”

“I think Jaylen, Nyheim, Reggie, and Dakwa have done a good job. Our offensive line has done an even better job. It’s a testament to them and what our running backs have created. I’m just looking forward to see this one more time with these guys.”

“They’re a good defense. They’re physical. They’re tough. We just got to go out there and execute our plan, and everything will take care of itself.”

“That’s the plan: a lot of red ponchos, I guess. I’m sure a lot of fans will come. I know our players have a lot of family coming to the game, but you’ve got to block it out come tomorrow. No matter who’s in the stands, we just have to go out and win the game.”

“Coach Mullen was at Florida, so I knew him, but I never had a chance to run into Mississippi State when I was there.”
