Sullivan Waits on Offers

Lillington (NC) Western Harnett Offensive Lineman William Sullivan has been busy this summer attending different camps and combines with the hope of generating college scholarship offers.

"Yes sir, I've camped at alot of places," Sullivan told StateFans. "I went to North Carolina and Tennessee's camps and both schools said they liked me and were going to stay in touch. I camped at Elon and was the best offensive lineman there. I also won the best pass-blocker award at the Down 'n Dirty Camp in Florida."

The Down 'n Dirty Camp is possibly the best high school offensive lineman combine across the country, and winning such an award is a high honor for Sullivan. Has it led to any interest from schools?

"Well, Ohio State and Miami coaches were down there and they have been contacting my coaches ever since them. I think he has to send them some film or something like that."

Last year while playing Offensive Tackle for the Western Harnett Eagles, Sullivan was named all-conference and all-area. The 6'5 285 pound OL has been timed at 5.2 in the 40 and has an impressive vertical jump of 28 inches. That type of athleticism has caught the eye of college coaches.

"Right now it looks like Tennessee, North Carolina, ECU, and NC State are the main ones. They are recruiting me but none have offered yet. I think they are going to wait and see how I do this year."

"NC State is probably recruiting me the least of those four schools, but they are sending letters and stuff. They are just not recruiting me as hard as the other three."

Look for William to wait until later in the year before deciding on a school.

"I just want to have a good senior season and see who all offers me. I'm not ready to make a decision and I don't know when I will be."
