Locker Room Report: Wolfpack Players

RALEIGH, N.C. -- Cody Martin and Abdul-Malik Abu met with the media after the loss to Duke.

"They were shooting it confidently."

"The middle was open. All you had to do was catch and turnaround... when we executed that we scored pretty easily."

"Defensively we came out slow and they came out hot. I picked up two early fouls."

"We didn't come out with the same intensity in the second half."

"We were trying to figure out how to get the right personnel in there."

"Coach G made a good adjustment, he put Cody in there."

"We had Lennard and BeeJay in the middle... once we got that situated we got back in our rhythm."

"Definitely. It feels like this is a game we should have won."

"We have to get ready for Georgia Tech on Wednesday."

"It was a little bit difficult because Ingram is kind of a combo, he can do both, and all of them can shoot. When they drive and kick you close out hard they can drive at the same time."

"We have to do a better job of not letting them penetrate."

"They came out and played harder than we did in the second half.  I'm not going to say we didn't play hard, but it seemed like in the second half at the beginning they wanted it more."

"We have to do that the whole game."

"He's 6'9/6'10, long. He can shoot three's, get to the rack. He has good vision... he can do it all. That's what makes him, him."

"The little stuff, like I said at the beginning... we can all do a better job, including myself."

"It was one of the worst defensive games I've had and that's something I have to work on."

"You can't do anything about that. You have to want it more than they do.  We can rest all we want after the game. For those 40 minutes, there are no excuses."

"We have to do a better job at adjusting. We have to communicate better and figure stuff out on our own."

'We have to do a better job telling each other what to do."

"We have to.  We can't pick and choose when we want to play. We're eight-deep so we have to play hard the whole time."
