Recruiting Scene: NC State and West Virginia were the first two schools to offer Gee but it was UNC and the Wolfpack that showed the most interest early on.
Gee’s father, Mike, was a former NC State standout and that left many believing that it wouldn’t be a matter of if Gee would commit to the Pack but when.
That proved to be the case as Gee pulled the trigger in July prior to his junior season, becoming the Pack’s first commitment for the class of 2016.
Why NC State? "It just felt like home," said Gee. "I can't really pinpoint one thing. The whole atmosphere, the whole environment, it just felt right. Everytime I went on campus it just felt like I was in the right place. You know, obviously the connections there and being a fan my whole life played into it. I just felt like the players, the coaches, it was just right for me."
Picked NC State Over: Offer from West Virginia and interest from UNC, Clemson, Wake Forest
Scouting Report: Gee sets a solid base and is a very good drive blocker. He gets a great punch at the line of scrimmage and is able to lock down the opposing defensive lineman. Gee moves his feet well and does a good job of redirecting. He has a good frame but will need to get stronger before he’s ready to contribute on the FBS level. -Pack Pride Recruiting Analyst Steve Williams
